Wyndham City, in partnership with the Victorian Government and the Tarneit Suburban Revitalisation Board, introduces the ‘Meet me in Tarneit’ program, a series of fantastic, free community events held each week until the end of June. Featuring local markets, live music and events, and outdoor movies at local venues moments from Verdant Hill, the program is guaranteed to entertain every member of the household.
Discover local artisan stalls, live music, crafts, and activities for the entire family at the ‘Makers and Growers’ market, held on the fourth Saturday of each month. Indulge in a glorious feast of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and macarons from the team at Sweets in Bloom, or dine hawker-style from one, or a few, of the plethora of international food tents.
Stunning hand-crafted jewellery, macrame wall art, locally made pottery, and one-of-a-kind canvas artworks showcase the incredible talents of the Tarneit community.
The Tarneit Movies in the Park series invites families of all ages to enjoy free, outdoor cinematic experiences at a host of venues all only minutes from Verdant Hill. With complimentary popcorn on offer from Sir Popalot and a selection of local vendors offering movie-time favourites, the whole family can sit back and enjoy a free night out close to home.
For a fun evening of live music, dancing, and food trucks galore, locals can look no further than the Music Nights in Tarneit events at the Baden Powell Reserve. Featuring performances by Australian singer-songwriter Taylor Henderson, indie-pop singer Alley Eley, and many more, each event is sure to be one to remember.
‘Meet me in Tarneit’ events will run weekly until the 25th of June, and visitors are encouraged to support the incredible local businesses showcasing their talents.
